Building muscle and losing fat with the Anabolic Diet

Workouts

Working out on the Anabolic Diet is just like working out on any other diet.  Don’t think because you’re on the Anabolic Diet, you have to follow some kind of special workout routine.

My personal favorite work-out routines that I have seen the greatest gains on are the following, all pulled from T-Nation.com:

HSS-100, and its specialization programs: HSS-100 Back, HSS-100 Chest, HSS-100 Shoulders.

Christian Thibaudeau’s Superhero Workout, from an amazing article here

I also like to follow Vince Gironda’s 6×6 or 8×8 routines.  Let’s say you want to work out your chest; select two exercises, and do eight sets of eight reps with as little rest as possible.  That’s it!  Do this for one more body part, and you’re done for the day.  Do this for all your body parts throughout the week.

The main idea behind your training is to work hard!  Lift the heaviest weights you can (while maintaining good form, so don’t go overboard with your ego!) and complete your workout as fast as possible.  This means very, very little rest between sets.  Every workout I complete takes about half an hour at most, and I am dead by the end of it.  This is the secret to the most effective workouts.

Basically, training should be exactly the same on the Anabolic Diet as it would be on any other diet.  Work hard with a smart program and you will reap the benefits!
